It’s hard to believe for art lovers that Mr. Verma has left us alone, few days back her daughter ‘Vinnie Verma’ created one ‘fundraiser on Ketto’, she needed around 22,000,00 (more from their savings, which they ware not able to arrange) for the treatment, it was close and she collected around 21,03,000 (link) unfortunately doctors were not able to save him. The whole comics world and art industry is in sorrow and pain. 🙁 we have lost a legend.
According to Vinnie Verma (daughter of Dheeraj Verma) she was raising funds for her father, Dheeraj Verma who was suffering from Pulmonary fibrosis (post COVID sequelae) and was undergoing treatment at Max Hospital Saket, Delhi.
Respected Dheeraj Verma (born 22 October 1967) was a international comics artist, Mr. Verma was often credited with being the first Indian to enter the US comics industry. He was the creator of Bheriya (Raj Comics) and worked on various international comics characters like Batman and Transformers.
