About / CMS Architect Experience

I build digital platforms that stay useful long after launch.

I’m Manish Pushkar Jha, a CMS Architect and Lead Developer with 14+ years of experience across WordPress, Drupal, Magento, Sitecore, Shopify, frontend engineering and backend development.

14+

Years of hands-on CMS architect experience spanning enterprise websites, eCommerce, component systems, integrations and custom business software.

My Approach

Architecture is the part users never see - and the part teams feel every day.

I started in hands-on web development and gradually moved into senior development, technical leadership and CMS architecture. That path still shapes how I work: I care about the implementation details, but I also think about the system those details belong to.

For me, a good platform is not simply editable. It has a clear content model, reusable components, predictable authoring patterns, sensible integrations, strong performance and enough flexibility to evolve without becoming fragile.

What I Do

CMS architecture, engineering and product thinking in one workflow.

My work often sits between design, content, development and business requirements. I translate those inputs into digital systems that are practical to build, manage and extend.

CMS Architecture

Content modelling, reusable component systems, editorial workflows, custom post structures and maintainable implementation patterns.

Frontend Engineering

Responsive interfaces, component-driven CSS and JavaScript, accessibility, performance and faithful design implementation.

Backend Development

PHP, C#, ASP.NET, MySQL, SQL Server, PDO, APIs, integrations, custom workflows and business application logic.

Commerce & Products

WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify and custom web products shaped around practical business and operational requirements.

Experience

From implementation to architecture - without losing the builder mindset.

Foundation

Frontend & web development

Building interfaces, templates and production websites taught me to care about browser behaviour, content structure, performance and detail.

Growth

CMS & application development

Moving deeper into WordPress, Drupal, Magento, custom PHP systems and integrations expanded the work from pages into platforms.

Leadership

Senior development & technical ownership

Working with agencies, multinational companies and distributed teams added planning, code quality, architecture decisions and delivery responsibility.

Today

CMS Architect & Lead Developer

I combine hands-on development with architecture, technical direction and product thinking across CMS, commerce and custom digital platforms.

Working Globally

Remote collaboration is part of how I work, not an exception.

I’m based in India and have worked across distributed environments with teams, clients and delivery schedules spanning multiple regions and time zones.

Principles

The principles behind the code.

01

Understand the requirement first.

Technology should support the business, content and user journey - not dictate them.

02

Design for reuse.

Good components solve patterns, not one-off pages.

03

Keep authoring practical.

A CMS should make editors faster while preserving design and technical consistency.

04

Performance is architecture.

Accessibility, SEO, maintainability and speed belong in development from the beginning.

Toolkit

A broad toolkit, with architecture deciding what belongs in the stack.
